Indian Amazing dessert "Kalakand" preparation

Delicious Soft Kalakand

Kalakand is an Indian sweet made out of solidified, sweetened milk. It's popular in other Asian countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and more. If you are from those countries, you know how tasty it is. You can decorate it according to your choice with almond, Cashew, Kesar, and various other kinds of stuff. So, let's jump into the main section and prepare a very special dessert dish "Kalakand". The following method is the easiest one that anyone can do. 

Ingredients::

  • 2-liter milk
  • 100-gram sugar powder
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 5 small cardamom
  • 5 almonds
  • 10 pistachios

Preparation Time::

  1.  To make the Kalakand, first, take 2 big pots and put different milk in them. Now burn both your gases and keep the milk to boil on the gas.
  2. Now when the milk comes to boil in a vessel, add lemon juice to it and remove it from the gas and wait for it to cool down. When the milk cools down, separate the water and chhena(Thick curdled milk) with the help of a cloth.

  3. The second milk pot must have started boiling. Keep stirring it constantly and let the milk thicken. When the milk starts to thicken, turn off the gas and take the pot down from the gas. Now add the prepared chhena to this milk and mix it with the ladle.
  4. Turn on the gas and add sugar to it. 
  5. Cook and keep on monitoring. After some time this mixture will start to form thick mass and will leave the side of the pan. Make sure you are not overcooking it. It will form a juicy texture not dead dry.
  6. Now turn off the gas. Add cardamom to this mixture, your fondant mixture is ready. Take a plate and grease it with some ghee. Pour this prepared mixture into it and spread it.
  7. Add almonds and pistachios on top. After some time when the mixture starts hardening, with the help of a knife cut the size of the barfi and stuff them in the box. 
  8. Your Kalakand is ready, enjoy its flavor and softness.
